While many types of surgeries are handled by our own Smith Ridge veterinarians, almost all orthopedic surgeries and some very complex soft-tissue surgeries are performed by two board-certified veterinary surgeons who travel to our facility as needed.

Dr. Martin DeAngelis, DACVS, is a nationally-known surgeon and has been working with Smith Ridge extensively for more than a decade. Dr. John Parks, DACVS, is well-known throughout the tri-state area and has performed surgeries at Smith Ridge since 2005.

Because these surgeons travel to us, you and your pet benefit by total continuity of care. These surgeons interface directly with your regular Smith Ridge veterinarian, who can then explain the procedure and the outcome to you. Our integrative therapies are also continued without interruption, and your pet is cared for by staff he has come to trust in a setting with which he is familiar.

These on-site surgical services, provided by board certified specialists, are just one more way that Smith Ridge ensures that your animal receives the finest care while experiencing the least amount of stress.
