What to expect if your animal is staying with us:

If your animal needs overnight supervision, you may contract directly with one of our veterinary technicians for private duty overnight care. There are different private duty options ranging from simple on-site presence with hand-walking (for dogs) to intensive, non-stop care.

While your animal is with us, he or she will be housed in an area that receives natural daylight from ceiling-high windows, which normally allows us to avoid overhead lighting throughout the day. We find that most dogs and cats are more relaxed in natural light.

Our runs and cages are set up so that animals are never looking directly at other animals. Most animals are wary of other dogs and cats in a strange environment, especially when they may not be feeling well. So, the housing arrangement is another factor in helping them be as relaxed as possible. The main housing area even contains a wall-mounted TV because we know that the light and sound of television is very familiar to most pets, so it’s just one more tool, especially at night, that we use to reduce the stress of your animal’s stay in the hospital.

While in our care your pet’s drinking water will consist entirely of bottled spring water. Depending on your animal’s condition, the doctor will choose among several high quality food options: baby food, raw diets, and canned foods that are 90% or more meat. All of these products are highly digestible and easy to swallow.
